🚨 August 1, 2026 / [Solved] Firefox 154: Password Manager Issues

Update 2 (August 25, 2026):
Users are reporting that the update 154.0.1 has fixed the issues.

The new Rust-based password storage is causing problems for me. Introduced with Firefox for Windows version 154, it suddenly causes major delays when filling in login credentials, no suggestions appear anymore, and so on.

Temporary workaround: Disable Rust until the bug is fixed.

1. Open about:config.
2. Search for signon.storage.rust.enabled.
3. The parameter is set to true; change it to false instead.
4. Restart Firefox.

After doing this, everything worked as smoothly for me as it had before.
